Slender Weavers Bamboo
Bambusa textilis  ‘Gracilis’
Slender Weavers Bamboo is a quick growing, clumping bamboo with dense foliage making it ideal for screening. Good for along the fence line where it can grow approx 6-8m. 5-6m in cooler climates like the Southwest. But depends where you are.
Also depends how close they are planted, which lessens the height. Plant 1.2m apart for a screening hedge, or 1.5 if you don’t mind the individual bamboo plant look, which will still screen nicely, just not as dense.
Looks amazing trimmed back into a square formal hedge. Or if left to grow naturally, can also be thinned out by pruning if needed. Bamboo responds really well to pruning.
Slender Weavers Bamboo likes to be in full sun and doesn’t mind a bit of shade. Tolerates very cold weather.
