Nandina dwarf

Nandina domestica nana  or dwarf nandina. This is one of our favourite plants here at Lakeside. It’s a classic, versatile plant and we love it for its foliage colour, which is a mixture of autumn greens, reds, yellows and oranges, depending on the season.

Plant in sunny or shady spots, it can withstand dry periods and doesn’t need to be cut back – it keeps it shape nicely and only grows to around 50cm.  It looks great scattered amongst other green plants. Particularly with other deeper green plants found in a tropical, resort style garden. You could use as an informal hedge, but looks best when offset with a green background.
