Apricot Blenheim Also Know As Royal Apricot
Heritage variety apricot that you don’t really find at the markets any more. With a history that dates back 200 years, Blenheims were grown throughout Europe and named after it was grown in Blenheim Palace in England. Extensively grown in California commercially, since the late 1800s, but has since declined in the last 20 to 30 years and is rapidly disappearing from markets, due to fruit imports.
Renowned for its classic, rich apricot flavour with a good balance of sweet and acid. Blenheim is a freestone apricot, perfect for picking fresh off the tree
Blenheim is self pollinating and is an early season variety.
