Everyone loves cherries and you can grow your own at home if your climate is cool enough. They need chilling hours to be productive, so somewhere inland and not too close to the coast should be good

A heavy cropper, Bing is a favourite cherry – and is the cherry that is mostly grown commercially in the USA , and the rest of the world.  Bing is a sweet cherry – semi freestone, firm, meaty flesh, rich burgundy, plum, red colour.

Use Van to pollinate

Requires chill of 700-800 hrs below 7c in Winter followed by warm Spring. Bing is a larger cherry tree- grows up to 10m x 6m
