A definite favourite around here. Gardenias take you away to another place with their divine scent. Stark, white, double flowers are gorgeous to look at especially contrasting with large, glossy, dark green leaves.

Grows larger than other Gardenias – 1.2 – 1.5m and even has larger leaves. A real treat in the garden. Keep clipped to desired size.

Gardenias can grow in full sun to shady areas. They like a well composted, improved soil that holds plenty of water and they like a regular fertiliser. Use clay in sandy soils to help retain water and nutrient. Rock dust is a great addition as it also helps with water retention and also nutrient retention, plus it’s chokkas full of minerals which keep your gardenias looking shiny and happy and flowering.

Flowers start in November all the way til May the next year.
