Apple Tree Double Graft Granny Smith & Pink Lady

Double Graft  Granny Smith and Pink Lady. Perfect if you have a small garden as these two varieties get along quite well and will cross pollinate with eachother! Make sure you keep watch on this double graft tree as one graft always seems to dominate the other and can even take over, where you are left with one apple variety. 

Pink Lady apple  is a large, deliciously sweet and crisp, eating apple with a tart flavour.  Great for eatingfresh, stright off the tree!  Fruit is a green base colour with blushes of pink all over. Great for cooking too – pies, sauces, stews and even salad as it’s is slower to turn brown.

The Pink Lady  is low chill and ripens late in the season.

Granny Smith are the large, green apples that you find at the local market. Crisp, sweet and tart, they’re great for eating fresh and for use in cooking – ideal for an apple pie! Spring blossoms occur in Sept-Oct, with fruit ripening late in the season – around May. Granny Smiths sweeten up if left on the tree to ripen forming a reddish blush so different than what you find at the market.
