There is no substitute for this intense, citrusy flavour in Southeast Asian cuisine.  Add a leaf to jasmine rice for a citrus zest or add shredded leaf to stirfries and curries. The leaves of the Kaffir Lime are what this tree is known for – the bumpy, green fruit is edible, but is very sour and acidic. The leaves can be used fresh or dry .
Kaffir Lime trees are a small tree and are great for pots or the garden. As with all citrus, use a quality, well draining potting mix for pots or add a quality soil conditioner if planting in the ground.
