Mother In Laws Tongue

Sansevieria trifasciata  – other common names – Snake Plant. We prefer Mother In Laws Tongue ;)

This is one Indestructible plant – If you’re looking for a plant that’s so low maintenance that you don’t have to worry about whether you’ve watered it – you’ve found it here. Great for pots, or in the ground. Good round the pool, as a low growing border plant with other lush type palms or large leaf shrubs. Can grow in the sun or shade.

Grow it in the house as a pot plant – keep it in the bedroom – research has shown that it converts Carbon dioxide to Oxygen at night time. (most other plants do this in the day time as a by product of photosynthesis)  You rarely need to water it. They look great as a feature plant with their striking colours and fantastic sword like structure, growing around 60 -70cm tall.

Of course if you want it to grow and spread in your garden, then give adequate water in the warmer  months.
