Grevillea RSL Spirit of Anzac
This new variety of Grevillea bred by Kings Park and Botanic Gardens for the RSL, to commemorate the Anzac Centenary, marking 100 years since Australian and New Zealand forces first stormed the shores of Gallipoli and the many other conflicts since then. The Grevillea has thrived and survived, as has the ANZAC spirit in times of hardship.
Beautiful big red flowers. This gorgeous Grevillea has green , fern like foliage. Fast growing – growing 2m x 1.5m.
The birds will love the nectar filled flowers as well as the bees.
Flowers appear from Autumn to Summer – long flowering. Prune back as needed – Spring’s a great time to keep compact and to promote more flowers. Water wise once established. Very drought tolerant. Use a low Phosphorous slow release fertiliser on planting.
Plant in full sun/ part shade.
