Lemon Meyer Citrus x meyeri

Meyer Lemons are a juicy citrus that are a cross between a lemon and a mandarin or orange. Great if you want a lot of juice in a lemon. They grow 2-3metres, so are a smaller citrus tree than the Eureka Lemon and are also sweeter.

Meyer is a keen producer of lemons and you’ll quickly get crops. Just make sure you stake the young tree  to support crops and also thin out the fruit to get a better size lemon.

As with all citrus, make sure your soil is improved with soil conditioner/compost and ensure adequate drainage. If planting in a pot, make sure you use a top quality potting mix and plant in a sunny spot.
