Another beautiful Magnolia tree that  pops in to life late Winter and early Spring with masses of showy, light pink starry shaped flowers .

Leonard Messel is a small tree – growing only 5-6m and 4-5m wide.  Plant out in a protected spot in a sunny position. Part shade is okay .      Deciduous Magnolia trees prefer soil on the acid side – so use well aged compost, blended with rockdust and add clay if in sandy soils. Make sure it is free draining. You could keep this tree in a pot .
