Guzmania Amaranth   Bromeliad

Guzmania is a type of Bromeliad. This one is called Amaranth. So will develop a purple colour bract surrounding the flower.

Guzmanias are epiphytes. So will happily attached to other plants and gather its nutrients and water from dripping water and decomposing leaves. You can however, plant straight into the ground or keep it in a pot.

They’ll happily grow in areas that receive low light levels.

Try growing as and indoor plant. They’ll do quite well indoors.
