Plum Santa Rosa Dwarf
Plum Santa Rosa Dwarf is a juicy, yellow flesh, clingstone plum bred in California for it’s deep plummy flavour, gorgeous purpley colour and perfect eating size. The fruit deepens in colour as it ripens, with a tart skin and sweet, juicy flesh.
Santa Rosa is semi self fertile, but will bear more fruit if another plum is close by. Use Plum Satsuma Dwarf as a pollinator.
Santa Rosa is often used as pollinator for many other Japanese Plum varieties. Like all fruit trees, you’ll need a nice, sunny spot with lots of improved, composted, free draining soil.
As this is a dwarf tree, it has been grown on dwarving rootstock. The tree will need to be staked for support as it grows and fruits. They’ll grow 1.5 – 2m in height and width. Great in a pot or in the ground for small courtyards, balconies or if you have a really small backyard.
