Sago Palm Cycad – Cycas revoluta
Sago Palm is a Cycad which is a garden favourite is used extensively by landscape designers and it’s easy to see why! With their symmetrical, structural style with foliage that is a gorgeous, deep, glossy green, they’ll add a timeless quality to your landscape.
These Cycads love the sun, but can also be planted in shady spots, that receive dappled light. They grow faster with more light. The trunk is very small to subterranean in young plants, growing very slowly over decades.
Plant these in conditioned soil with compost and you’ll be rewarded with several flushes of new growth in the warmer months.
You can’t go wrong with these plants, they look great at all stages of growth. Plant under palm trees, use in feature pots – they’ll look lovely in your front garden, planted outside your windows.
