Thysanolaena maxima Tiger Grass
Tiger grass is a perennial grass that grows about 2.5m x 2m with an upright growth habit. It’s not a bamboo, but gives the same effect as a bamboo. But with a weeping leaf habit, which adds a bit of interest. It grows in clumps, so a few can be planted as a screen.
Can be grown in full sun, or part shade. Quite quick to grow. Great for screens or to fill up a space with green. Tiger grass is tropical, but will grow just fine down in the Southwest or Perth.
