Have you smelled this flower?  This evergreen shrub has the most divine scent! Flowers are, bud -like and small, but they certainly make up for it in Spring time by producing a fruity, bubblegum-like scent that drifts through the air, most noticeable on a warm evening. Flowers also appear during summer and autumn.

Upon smelling these flowers, it’s a done deal – you’ll take at least one home with you!

With a moderate to slow growth rate Port Wine Magnolia can grow to around 3m. This shrub likes a frost free environment with plenty of sunshine.
Makes a great low maintenance hedge, due to the fact that they’re not growing rapidly, so you’re not always clipping.  Seem to respond well to tip pruning and they’ll stay nice and compact.

Great for a 1-2m hedge. The flowers also grow on old wood, so even if you’re pruning, you’ll still get fragrant flowers growing .
