Monstera Deliciosa –

Monstera Deliciosa -Fruit Salad Plant or Swiss Cheese Plant are 2 common names for this. We prefer to just call it Monstera, because of its  large, monstrous leaves.  Monstera Deliciosa is an epiphyte – meaning it uses other plants to clamber up as support – growing up and out towards the light.  Kept in a pot, it happily will grow up and out, while also growing aerial roots. The fruit is also edible, which is why it’s also called Fruit Salad Plant.

These make such a lovely indoor or patio plant with a lots of character.  Prefers a humid environment in the shade.
